Encinitas Karate in Encinitas, California was founded in 1999 with a mission to help better the lives of children of all ages by instilling positive traits and values such as respect, honor, integrity, perseverance and self-control. In addition, Encinitas Karate is also dedicated to growing students’ sense of self-image and confidence by building physical and mental strength through conditioning, self-defense training and positive reinforcement. In fact, it’s not uncommon for parents to register a student and shortly their after, register themselves too.

Encinitas Karate serves students and families in the Encinitas, Rancho Santa Fe and Carlsbad neighborhoods. It is the only Tang Soo Doo, Martial Arts studio in San Diego 100% owned and operated by a woman – Master Santhi Castle.

In addition to running reputable programs, Encinitas Karate has also helped kids and the community by supporting and initiating various charity fundraising events.

This year, the studio plans to hold several fundraisers such as monthly Game, Movie and Parent Night events. to help support local students by donating the proceeds to the Encinitas Educational Foundation to benefit students attending our local public schools.

The next major fundraising event came in the form of a Break-A-Thon! An event geared towards teaching kids from all over the community to break a board using a hand or foot technique. By donating a small amount of money per board broken, Encinitas Karate raised almost $9000 for St. Jude’s Children Hospital in 2007!
