Throughout the weekend, people of all ages will have the opportunity to participate in interactive product demonstrations to learn about programming, coding and 3D printing, and to take part in collaborative hands-on experiences designed to stretch your imagination and think creatively as akers work cooperatively to make something original.
This is an exciting event for Encinitas Educational Foundation to share because several of our schools are creating their very own Makery space.
What is a “Makery” space? It’s a designated space for people (kids) to create. The space provides materials and opportunities for hands-on experiences and exploration around the art of designing, handcrafting and constructing, in the spirit of DIY thinking, resourcefulness, collaboration, cooperative learning and teamwork.
Check out Barnes & Noble, Encinitas this weekend and demo some of the leading products in technology today that teach users of all ages the valuable skills of coding and 3D printing. While you’re there, you may receive a reusable shopping bag from Encinitas Educational Foundation (while supplies last).
