The Encinitas Educational Foundation (EEF) assists in the achievement and maintenance of a superior public school education within the Encinitas Union School District (EUSD).

The foundation solicits and receives contributions from public and private donors and makes regular contributions to EUSD for developing, conducting and financing existing and future programs like Visual and Performing Arts, Science, Technology, World Language, Wellness and Environmental programs and projects designed to create World-Ready citizens.

The Encinitas Union School District includes nine elementary schools located in the Encinitas and South Carlsbad neighborhoods of 92024 and 92009.

The Encinitas Educational Foundation was founded in 1985 and is a 501c(3).

How We Work

  • Family Partners: Families who financially support EEF by making charitable donations for the benefit of a specific school. When you donate to EEF on behalf of one of EUSD’s award-winning schools, 100% of your donation will influence the educational experience of students attending that school.

  • Each campus has a formal advisory committee that meets regularly. Members of the advisory committee include parents, teachers, staff and the school’s Principal. Meetings are held monthly to discuss and vote on how best to spend EEF money for the benefit of the specific school and its Single Plan for Student Achievement. Because each school provides a unique educational experience, this model of site specific spending enhances the eclectic culture and educational experience offered at each of EUSD’s distinguished schools.

  • Volunteer committees support individual schools’ fundraising by organizing and promoting fall pledge campaigns and hosting other seasonal events, which further support our mission of heightening the learning experience.

  • Community Partners: Hundreds of local businesses support EEF. Each year we benefit from nearly $500,000 in non-cash donations. These donation items and services are sold during school auctions organized and hosted by the individual schools. Community Partners also include organizations offering products and services and support the development of our future employees, employers and leaders of tomorrow.
